Teach Zen Inc. is dedicated to enhancing social and emotional well-being within the childcare community and beyond. We believe that nurturing a child’s emotional health is crucial to their cognitive development.  Recently, the Delaware Office of Early Learning Advisory Committee released their final report where they highlighted this fact and also shared that “…almost 1 in 4.

Delaware children under eight years old have experienced two or more adverse childhood experiences (ACES), which are likely to negatively impact their growth and development.” The impact that trauma has on the developing brain of a young child is too crucial to ignore because research also warns of insurmountable lasting effects into childhood. 

By equipping educators and the community with the knowledge and skills to support children’s emotional needs, we aim to cultivate a generation of compassionate humans and confident learners.

Teach Zen is currently servicing 143 children in our SEL program!
